Understanding the Dashboard

Learn what you see on the Dashboard and how to move around Cashvio with the sidebar, in-page tabs, and the command palette.

What is the Dashboard?

The Dashboard is the first screen you see after logging in. It greets you, shows how your business is doing for the selected period, highlights anything that needs your attention, and gives you shortcuts to the most common actions.

At the top right of the Dashboard you can switch the time period for all numbers and charts: Today, This Week, or This Month.

Banners

Directly under the greeting, the Dashboard may show one dismissible banner with an important next step — for example, putting your online store live or installing the app on your device. Once you dismiss it or complete the action, it disappears.

Quick Actions

A row of quick-action tiles gives you one-tap access to the most common tasks:

ActionWhat it does
New SaleOpens the full-screen sale (POS) screen
View OrdersOpens the orders list
View ProductsOpens the product catalogue
Manage InventoryOpens the inventory list
Add CustomerOpens the new-customer form

Important

The Dashboard adapts to your permissions and plan features. You only see quick actions and sections for the things you are allowed to access.

Needs Attention

The Needs Attention list shows urgent items with live counts, each linking straight to the filtered list:

  • Pending orders — orders waiting to be processed
  • Unpaid orders — orders with outstanding payment
  • Overdue payments — scheduled payments past their due date
  • Low stock — products at or below their reorder point
  • Pending returns — return requests awaiting review

If there is nothing urgent, this section stays hidden.

Sales Overview

Four KPI cards summarize your performance for the selected period, each with a comparison against the previous period:

CardWhat it shows
Total RevenuePayments received in the period
Total OrdersNumber of orders created
Average Order ValueRevenue divided by the number of orders
Gross ProfitRevenue minus product costs

Below the cards, two charts show your store visits and top products. Click View All to open the full Reports section.

On the left side of the screen (right side in Arabic) is the sidebar — a flat list of the main sections, plus a pinned New Sale button that is always available:

ItemWhat it covers
DashboardThe main overview
SalesOrders — with in-page tabs for Returns, Refunds, and Overdue Payments
CatalogueProducts — with tabs for Categories, Options, and Coupons
InventoryStock — with tabs for Low Stock, Adjustments, Purchase Orders, and Suppliers
CustomersCustomer list and profiles

ReportsAnalytics and reports
TeamUsers — with a tab for Roles & Permissions
SettingsGeneral settings, Stores, Channels, Plan & Features, and Account

Related pages are grouped as tabs at the top of each section rather than sidebar submenus. For example, opening Sales shows tabs for Orders, Returns, Refunds, and Overdue Payments.

On mobile devices, the sidebar becomes a bottom navigation bar with the most important items. Tap More to reach everything else.

Press Ctrl+K (or Cmd+K on Mac), or click the search icon in the top bar, to open the command palette. Type to jump to any page or action — for example "refunds", "add product", or "delivery zones" — without navigating menus.

Language, Theme, and Support

In the top bar you will find:

  • Language switcher — Switch between English and Arabic instantly.
  • Profile menu — Toggle between dark mode and light mode, open your account settings, or log out.
  • Support — Open the live support chat.
