Cart, Discounts, and Fees on New Sale
Build the sale ticket on New Sale: customer, fulfillment, coupons, discounts, fees, item notes, order notes, and custom items.
The cart panel on New Sale shows everything about the current sale:
| Section | What you can do |
|---|---|
| Customer | Attach an existing customer or create a new one on the spot. The customer's store credit balance is shown. |
| Fulfillment | Choose In-Store, Pickup, Delivery, or Dine-In (when Cafe/Restaurant Mode is on). Delivery asks for the customer's address. Dine-In can include an optional table number. |
| Items | Adjust quantities with + / −, or tap a line for Change extras, Duplicate, Remove and an item note for the kitchen. Clear empties the ticket, and Undo brings back what you removed (see Change a line). Lines stay compact so you see many at once. |
| Summary | Subtotal, fees, discount, coupon, tax, and the final total, always visible above Charge. |
On mobile, the cart appears as a bar at the bottom of the screen. Tap it to open the full cart drawer.
Table Number (Dine-In)
Cafe/Restaurant Mode
Dine-In and table numbers appear only after you enable Cafe/Restaurant Mode in Settings > Features (or Feature selection). Off by default.
When fulfillment is Dine-In, the cart shows an optional Table row (same pattern as the delivery address row):
- Tap the row and enter the table number or label (up to 50 characters, for example
12orA1), or leave it empty. - Save. The table stays on the ticket until you change fulfillment.
- Charge works with or without a table number. You can set or edit it later on Order Details.
When set, the table number is saved on the order and shown on the Kitchen board so the kitchen and runners can match tickets to tables.
Switching away from Dine-In clears the table number from the cart.
Coupons
- Open the Coupon option in the cart.
- Enter the coupon code.
- The code is validated instantly (active status, validity dates, usage limits, and minimum order value are all checked) and the discount is applied to the summary.
See Coupons for how to create and manage coupon codes.
Manual Discounts
- Open the Discount option in the cart.
- Choose Fixed Amount (e.g., 50 EGP off) or Percentage (e.g., 10% off). For percentages, tap one of the quick chips (5%, 10%, 15%, 20%) or type any value.
- The dialog previews the discount and the amount after discount; the ticket total updates when you tap Apply Discount.
The dialog remembers your last discount. On a ticket that has no discount yet, the dialog opens on the last discount you applied in this store (same type and amount, with the matching percentage chip highlighted), even after New Sale or a reload. It is only prefilled: nothing changes on the ticket until you tap Apply Discount.
- A discount already on the ticket always wins: the dialog opens on that one.
- Cancelling the dialog does not change what is remembered.
- Remove Discount clears the discount from the ticket only; the dialog still opens on it next time.
- A remembered fixed amount larger than the current subtotal is reduced to the subtotal.
See Favorites, Recent, and Remembered Defaults for everything else the register remembers.
Item Notes
Use item notes for kitchen instructions on a single line (for example no sugar, extra shot, or no onions):
- Tap the cart line (its name or price). The line sheet opens with the cursor in Note.
- Type the instruction (up to 500 characters) and tap Save.
- The note appears under that line on the ticket and the small note mark turns green. Tap the line again to edit or clear it.
To give one unit its own note, tap Duplicate in the same sheet: the new line starts without a note.
Item notes print on receipts and show on Kitchen tickets so the kitchen sees them with the item. They are separate from the optional order note below.
Fees and Notes
- Service fees and delivery fees are added automatically based on your store configuration, and can be edited on the sale.
- Add an optional note to the whole order with the Note button under the lines, next to Discount, Coupon and Hold (general comments, not per-item kitchen mods).
Custom Items
To sell something that is not in your catalogue (a service or a one-off item), open the cart menu and choose Custom Item:
- Enter a name, price, and quantity.
- Custom items do not affect inventory levels.

Hold and Resume Tickets
Hold a ticket on New Sale while you serve the next customer without losing the cart. Resume or discard from the top bar, where wide screens also show up to two or three held tickets as one-tap buttons; up to 20 held tickets per register on this device. The sale you are working on is also saved automatically, so you can resume it after the app closes.
Taking Payment and After the Sale
Charge the cart on New Sale with cash, online, receipt, or store credit, count cash with quick amounts or the on-screen keypad, then print or share the receipt, sell the same items again, start a return or let the next sale start by itself.
