Today's Sales (Reprint and Sell Again)

Open today's sales from the New Sale top bar to reprint a receipt, share it on WhatsApp, ring up the same items again, start a return or open the order.

On the full-screen New Sale screen, Sales in the top bar lists today's sales at the store you are selling from. You can reprint any of those receipts, send one on WhatsApp, ring up the same items again or start a return, without leaving the register to look for the order.

Open today's sales

  1. On New Sale, tap Sales in the top bar. On smaller screens it is the receipt icon, Today's sales; on phones, open More actions in the top bar and choose Today's sales.
  2. Today's sales opens with the store name and the number of sales in the list.

On phones the list slides up from the bottom; on a computer it opens from the side. Barcode scans don't reach the ticket while the list is open.

Who can see it

Sales appears when your role can view orders. It does not need analytics in your plan, so cashiers who don't see Today can still reprint receipts. If the icon is missing, ask an admin to check your role.

What the list shows

The list has every sale rung up on New Sale at this store today, on any device, newest first. "Today" is today on your device, as in Today at This Store. Online store orders are not listed; find them under Sales > All Sales.

Each sale shows the order number, the time, the customer's name when one was attached, the total and the payment status, such as Paid or Partial. The first 20 sales load when you open the list. Tap Load more at the bottom for the next 20. The list loads fresh every time you open it.

The switch at the top chooses whose sales you see:

  • All shows everyone's sales at this store. It is the default, because on a shared register the receipt a customer asks for may be from a colleague's sale.
  • Mine shows only the sales you rang up.

The choice is remembered for this store on this device. When there is nothing to show, the list reads No sales yet today, or You have no sales yet today under Mine.

Reprint a receipt

Tap the printer icon on a sale (Reprint receipt for order #…). Cashvio loads the order and prints a copy with your current receipt settings, the same way as Print receipt on the success screen. The paper is marked as a copy, like every reprint (see Print and Share Receipts). Reprinting never opens the cash drawer.

The icon spins while the receipt loads and prints, and one receipt prints at a time. If the order can't be loaded, a message tells you why. The job also shows under Print jobs, so you can check what happened after the list is closed.

More actions

The three-dot icon on a sale (More actions for order #…) opens the other actions:

ActionWhat it does
Share on WhatsAppOpens WhatsApp with the same message as Send via WhatsApp on the success screen: a thank-you note with the digital receipt link. If the sale has a customer phone number, their chat opens directly. See WhatsApp Sharing.
Sell againPuts the same items on the ticket at today's prices. See Sell again.
Create returnOpens the return screen for this order. Shown only when your role can create returns or refunds. See Create return.
Open orderLeaves New Sale and opens the order details, where you can download a PDF, copy the receipt link or show a QR code.

Create return and Open order leave the register. If the ticket has items, Cashvio first asks Discard cart?, because leaving discards the ticket. Tap Keep order to stay, and hold the ticket first if you want to keep it.

Sell again

Sell again builds a new ticket from a past sale: a customer who wants the same order again, or a sale you need to ring up a second time. You find it in the three-dot menu here and as a tile on the success screen after each sale (see After the Sale).

  1. Open the three-dot menu on a sale and tap Sell again.
  2. If the ticket already has items, Cashvio asks Replace the current ticket? Tap Replace ticket, or Cancel to keep the ticket as it is. An empty ticket skips this question.
  3. The items go on the ticket and the list closes. A quantity multiplier you set (such as ×6) is cleared. Check the ticket and charge as usual.

Replacing removes the ticket's items, discount, coupon, order note and fee changes. The customer, fulfillment method, delivery address, table number and sales channel stay. Undo can't bring back a replaced ticket. If none of the old items can be added, nothing is replaced.

While the items load, the three-dot icon spins, another Sell again has to wait, and the list stays open until the items are on the ticket. If the ticket changes while they load, for example when you tap New sale or scan an item on the success screen, Sell again stops with The ticket changed, so Sell again was cancelled and nothing is added.

What is copied

Sell again repeats what was sold, not who bought it or how they paid.

  • Catalogue items come back with their quantity at today's price, not the price of the old sale.
  • Item notes come back. If the same item with the same extras and the same note was on two lines, it becomes one line with the quantities added together; lines with different notes stay separate.
  • Extras come back when every one of them still exists and the choice still fits the product's extras rules, such as how many you must or can pick.
  • Custom items come back with the same name, SKU and price they were sold at.

The customer, discount, coupon, service and delivery fees, payment, fulfillment method, delivery address, table number and order note are not copied from the old sale. The totals are worked out again for the new ticket, like any other sale.

Items that can't be added as sold

Cashvio checks every item against your catalogue as it is now, with the same stock and Max quantity per order limits as adding it by hand. An item that can't be sold is left out, and a quantity that doesn't fit is lowered.

When that happens, a message such as 5 items from order #1042 weren't added as sold names up to three of them with the reason and counts the rest (and 2 more):

ReasonMeaning
no longer existsThe variant that was sold (size, color and so on) was deleted from the product.
no longer sold at this storeThe product is inactive or not sold at this store.
out of stockThere is no stock left.
per-order limit reachedThe ticket already has as many units as Max quantity per order allows.
extras changedOne of the extras was removed, or the old choice no longer fits the product's extras rules.
3 of 5 added (for example)Only part of the quantity fit the available stock or Max quantity per order.

When everything fits, the message reads Items from order #1042 are on the ticket. When nothing can be added, it reads Nothing from order #1042 could be added and the ticket stays as it was (from the success screen you move on to an empty new sale).

Create return

Create return opens the return screen for the order, the same one as Create Return on the order details page. Pick the items and finish the return as described in Create a Return; only items that can still be returned are offered.

You find it in the three-dot menu here and under the tiles on the success screen. It appears only when your role can create returns or refunds (see Roles & Permissions).
