Taking Payment and After the Sale

Charge the cart on New Sale with cash, online, receipt, or store credit, count cash with quick amounts or the on-screen keypad, then print or share the receipt, sell the same items again, start a return or let the next sale start by itself.

Taking Payment

Click Charge / Checkout to open the payment dialog.

Store Credit

If the attached customer has store credit:

  • A Use Store Credit toggle appears at the top.
  • Enable it to apply the balance toward the order. If credit covers the whole amount, no other payment method is needed.

Payment Methods

Choose the method for the remaining amount:

MethodDescription
CashEnter the Cash received or tap a quick amount; the Change due is calculated automatically. See Cash Received and Change.
OnlineDigital payment (card, InstaPay, mobile wallet, bank transfer, etc.).
ReceiptTransfer payment with an optional receipt image upload (JPEG, PNG, or WebP).

Note

Only payment methods enabled for the selected store appear. See Payment Methods to configure them.

Cash Received and Change

When you choose Cash, a Cash received field appears, set to the amount to pay. Quick amounts sit right under it:

  • Exact means the customer handed over the exact amount, so there is no change. It is selected when you choose Cash.
  • Up to three suggested amounts round the total up to the next banknote of your store's currency. For example, a total of 143 in Egyptian pounds suggests 145, 150 and 160.

Tap a quick amount, or type the amount you received in Cash received. When it is more than the amount to pay, Change due shows the difference. When it is less, the dialog warns Cash received is less than the amount to pay and Charge stays unavailable until you enter enough.

Store currencyBanknotes used
Egyptian pound (EGP)5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200
Saudi riyal (SAR)5, 10, 50, 100, 500
UAE dirham (AED)5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200
Any other currency10, 50, 100, 200

With a keyboard, press Enter to charge. If the cursor is still in Cash received, the first Enter confirms the amount and the second one charges.

Cash Keypad on Touch Screens

On phones and tablets you use by touch (no mouse or trackpad), choosing Cash shows an on-screen keypad under Cash received, and tapping the field does not open the device keyboard. If a keyboard is connected to the device, you can still type into the field.

KeysWhat they do
Exact and the suggested amountsSet the cash received to that amount.
Banknote keys (+5, +10, +50 and so on)Add that note to the cash received, so you can count notes as the customer hands them over. If the amount is still Exact, the first note starts from zero: +100 then +50 gives 150.
1 to 9, 0 and 00Type the amount. After Exact, a suggested amount or a banknote key, the next digit starts a new amount.
.Starts the decimals, up to two digits.
Delete key (on the right)Removes the last digit. If you delete every digit, the cash received is zero and Charge stays unavailable until you enter enough. Tap Exact to go back to the exact amount.

The banknote keys use the notes of your store's currency from the table above. Change due updates with every tap. The keypad has the same layout in Arabic, with the digits in the same order.

Partial and Scheduled Payments

You can take part of the total now and schedule the rest:

  1. The payment screen shows the amount to pay now as the full total. Tap Edit next to it and enter the part you are taking now.
  2. Enable Schedule Remaining Payment and pick a due date.
  3. The remainder becomes a scheduled payment you can track in Overdue Payments.

Pay Later (Customer Credit)

When Customer Credit (Pay Later) is enabled under Settings > Plan, you can sell on credit to a selected customer:

  • Click Pay later to skip payment now. Works for Pickup, Delivery, Dine-In, and In-Store.
  • For a partial payment, enable Put the rest on customer credit instead of scheduling a separate payment row.

See Customer Credit (Pay Later) for amount owed on customer profiles, filters, and collecting later.

Without the credit module, Pickup, Delivery, and Dine-In can still be saved unpaid at checkout; In-Store sales require payment unless credit is enabled.

After the Sale

The success screen shows:

  • The change due (large and clear, when the customer paid cash)
  • The order number, then a short summary: total, how it was paid, item count and the customer when one was attached
  • Four tiles: Print receipt (a connected thermal printer or the browser print dialog; with auto-print on in your receipt settings it prints by itself), Send via WhatsApp (see WhatsApp Sharing), Sell again (see below) and View orders
  • Create return under the tiles, when your role can create returns or refunds. It opens the return screen for this order (see Create a Return).
  • New sale, pinned to the bottom edge so it is always under your thumb. On a computer, Enter, Space or a barcode scan also starts the next sale. To use a tile, Create return or the switch from the keyboard, move to it with Tab and press Enter or Space; a scan always starts the next sale. Below it is the Start the next sale automatically switch (see below).

The order appears in Sales with its order number, inventory is adjusted automatically (when tracking is enabled), and the order source is recorded for analytics. Later in the day you can reprint, share or sell it again from Sales in the top bar of New Sale (see Today's Sales).

Sell Again

Tap Sell again to start the next sale with the same items. Catalogue items come back at today's prices with their notes and extras; the customer, discount, coupon, fees and payment are not copied. The tile shows Adding… while the items load. If some items are no longer available, out of stock or over a limit, a message lists what was left out or reduced. See Sell again for exactly what is copied and what each message means.

Start the Next Sale Automatically

On a busy counter, turn on Start the next sale automatically under New sale. New sale then counts down (New sale in 3…) and starts the next sale by itself after 3 seconds.

The countdown runs only when all of these are true:

  • The order is fully paid: nothing is left to pay and it is not on customer credit.
  • There is no change to give back. When the customer gets change, the screen waits so you can read the amount.
  • If your store prints receipts automatically, the receipt was sent to the printer (or the browser print dialog opened). If that print fails or its result is uncertain, the countdown doesn't start, so you can check the receipt.
  • No Sell again is loading.

Touching or clicking the screen, scrolling or pressing any key stops the countdown for this sale, and New sale waits for you. This works before the countdown starts too, for example while the receipt is still printing. Screen readers announce the countdown once and say to tap anywhere to stay on the screen. A barcode scan still starts the next sale with the scanned item, as before. Turning the switch off also stops it. The switch is remembered for this store on this device.

Tip

Need a digital receipt? Open the order from Sales > All Sales. From the order details you can download a PDF, copy a shareable receipt link, or show a QR code the customer can scan.
