Cart, Discounts, and Fees on New Sale
Build the sale ticket on New Sale: customer, fulfillment, coupons, discounts, fees, item notes, order notes, and custom items.
The cart panel on New Sale shows everything about the current sale:
| Section | What you can do |
|---|---|
| Customer | Attach an existing customer or create a new one on the spot. The customer's store credit balance is shown. |
| Fulfillment | Choose In-Store, Pickup, Delivery, or Dine-In (when Cafe/Restaurant Mode is on). Delivery asks for the customer's address. Dine-In can include an optional table number. |
| Items | Adjust quantities with + / −, remove lines, or add an item note for the kitchen. |
| Summary | Subtotal, fees, discount, coupon, tax, and the final total. |
On mobile, the cart appears as a bar at the bottom of the screen. Tap it to open the full cart drawer.
Table Number (Dine-In)
Cafe/Restaurant Mode
Dine-In and table numbers appear only after you enable Cafe/Restaurant Mode in Settings > Features (or Feature selection). Off by default.
When fulfillment is Dine-In, the cart shows an optional Table row (same pattern as the delivery address row):
- Tap the row and enter the table number or label (up to 50 characters, for example
12orA1), or leave it empty. - Save. The table stays on the ticket until you change fulfillment.
- Charge works with or without a table number. You can set or edit it later on Order Details.
When set, the table number is saved on the order and shown on the Kitchen board so the kitchen and runners can match tickets to tables.
Switching away from Dine-In clears the table number from the cart.
Coupons
- Open the Coupon option in the cart.
- Enter the coupon code.
- The code is validated instantly (active status, validity dates, usage limits, and minimum order value are all checked) and the discount is applied to the summary.
See Coupons for how to create and manage coupon codes.
Manual Discounts
- Open the Discount option in the cart.
- Choose Fixed Amount (e.g., 50 EGP off) or Percentage (e.g., 10% off).
- The total updates automatically.
Item Notes
Use item notes for kitchen instructions on a single line (for example no sugar, extra shot, or no onions):
- On a cart line, tap the note icon.
- Type the instruction (up to 500 characters) and save.
- The note appears under that line on the ticket. Tap the icon again to edit or clear it.
Item notes print on receipts and show on Kitchen tickets so the kitchen sees them with the item. They are separate from the optional order note below.
Fees and Notes
- Service fees and delivery fees are added automatically based on your store configuration, and can be edited on the sale.
- Add an optional note to the whole order from the cart menu (general comments, not per-item kitchen mods).
Custom Items
To sell something that is not in your catalogue (a service or a one-off item), open the cart menu and choose Custom Item:
- Enter a name, price, and quantity.
- Custom items do not affect inventory levels.
