Account Settings

How to manage your personal account, including email change, password, Google sign-in, notifications, sounds, and installing the app.

Accessing Account Settings

Go to Settings > Account in the sidebar, or click Account at the bottom of the sidebar and choose My Profile. Every user has their own account page.

The page opens with your Profile card: your initials, name, username, email and role. A section list (a side rail on desktop, a row of chips on phones) jumps to Sign-in & security, Push notifications, In-app sounds, Install app and Delete account, and highlights the section you are reading. Install app disappears once the app is installed.

Profile

Your name, username, email and role are shown here. Name and role changes are made by an admin from the user's details page.

Sign-in & security

This section shows the email you sign in with, your password, and your Google connection. Each has its own button, and each change opens in a window.

Changing Your Email

  1. Click Change Email next to your email.
  2. Enter your new email address and your current password, then click Send Verification. Cashvio asks for your password to make sure the request really comes from you.
  3. A verification email is sent to the new address.
  4. Open the link in that email and click Confirm Email Change to complete the change.

The email only changes after you confirm it from the verification link. Until then, your old email keeps working.

After you confirm the new email

Cashvio signs you out on every device, including the one you used to confirm. Sign in again with your new email. Cashvio also sends a security notice to your old email address. If you get that notice and did not make the change, reset your password and contact support right away.

Changing Your Password

  1. Click Change Password next to your password.
  2. Enter your current password.
  3. Enter your new password (at least 8 characters, different from the current one) and confirm it.
  4. Click Change Password.

Changing your password signs you out everywhere, including this device. Sign in again with your new password on each device you use.

If you close either window after typing, Cashvio asks before discarding what you entered.

After several wrong current passwords in a row, whether you are changing your password or your email, Cashvio pauses both changes for your account for a short time and tells you how long to wait. You stay signed in while you wait.

Google

The Google row shows whether you can sign in with Continue with Google:

StatusWhat it means
Connected as …Followed by the Google email. You can sign in with that Google account.
Not connectedYou sign in with your email or username and your password.

To connect Google:

  1. Click Connect Google.
  2. Enter your current password.
  3. Choose your Google account in the Google window.

To disconnect Google:

  1. Click Disconnect.
  2. Enter your current password.

Disconnect needs a password on your account, so you can still sign in afterwards. If you signed up with Google, set a password first. Disconnecting doesn't sign you out anywhere: your other devices stay signed in.

Wrong current passwords here count toward the same short pause as password and email changes.

Security emails

Cashvio sends you a security email whenever Google is connected to or disconnected from your account. If you get one and did not make the change, reset your password and contact support right away.

If an admin changes your account email, Google is disconnected and you are signed out on every device. Sign in with your password (or set one with Forgot password? on the login page), then connect Google again.

Set a password

If you signed up with Google, your account has no password yet. Set a password appears in place of Change Email and Change Password.

  1. Click Set a password. Cashvio emails you a link to choose a password, the same link Forgot password? sends from the login page.
  2. Open the email, then enter and confirm your new password (at least 8 characters).

After that, you can sign in with your email and password or with Google, and Change Email, Change Password, and Disconnect become available.

Push notifications

This device shows whether the device you are using gets order and inventory alerts:

StatusWhat it meansWhat to do
ReceivingThis device gets notifications.Nothing.
Not enabledYou have not allowed notifications yet.Click Enable notifications and allow them in the browser prompt.
BlockedNotifications are blocked for this site.Allow them in your browser settings, then reload the page.
Not receivingNotifications are allowed, but this device is not registered.Click Re-register this device.
Not supportedThis browser cannot receive notifications. On iPhone or iPad, add the app to your home screen first, then enable notifications from inside the installed app.

Registered devices lists every device that gets your notifications, with when each was last active. The one you are using is marked This device. Click Remove to stop notifications on a device until it registers again.

In-app sounds

Short alert tones for kitchen tickets and notifications, played in the browser on this device:

  • Enable in-app sounds: turn all tones on or off for this device.
  • Volume: how loud the tones are.
  • Play sound for push while this tab is focused: use a soft in-app tone instead of the system notification sound while the portal is open.
  • Alert tones: pick a tone for each type of alert. Click the speaker button next to a tone to hear it.

These choices are saved on this device only.

Installing the App

The Install App section lets you install Cashvio as an app for faster access. Click Install when your browser supports it. Once the app is installed, the section disappears from the page. On mobile, the Dashboard shows an install banner.

App icon badge

When Cashvio is installed on a phone that supports app badges (most modern Android browsers, and some desktops), the home-screen icon shows a number matching your unread notifications in the bell. The badge clears when you mark notifications as read, or when you leave the signed-in app.

Note

The badge needs an installed app (or a browser that supports Badging). In a normal browser tab with no install, you still see the count on the notification bell inside the portal.

Language and Theme

Language and theme are not on this page. On a computer, use the labeled controls at the bottom of the sidebar; on a phone, use the account menu in the top bar:

  • Language: click the globe beside English or العربية, then choose a language. The label shows your current language.
  • Theme: click the sun or crescent beside Light or Dark to switch modes. The label shows your current mode; the tooltip names the mode you will switch to. On a phone, choose Light Mode or Dark Mode from the account menu.

Note

These preferences are personal; your language and theme choices don't affect other team members.

Permanent account deletion

  1. Open Settings > Account and find Delete account.
  2. Read the warning, then click Delete my account. Cashvio checks the business details before opening the confirmation.
  3. Read which accounts and records will be removed, then click Send code. Cashvio emails a 6-digit code to your account email.
  4. Enter the code from the email under Verification code, then click Permanently delete. Choose Cancel to keep your account.

The code works for 10 minutes, only in the window where you requested it, and only while your account email stays the same. After 5 wrong codes, request a new one. Resend code becomes available after a minute, up to 5 codes an hour, and shows how long to wait. A wrong or expired code keeps your account and sign-ins intact. If you get a code you didn't ask for, don't share it with anyone and contact support.

If your account has no email address, the window asks for your Current password instead. A wrong password keeps your account intact; repeated wrong attempts temporarily block further checks.

Both buttons are blocked while deletion is being submitted. On confirmed success, you are signed out and the login page confirms deletion. If the connection fails, Cashvio checks your access before allowing a new confirmation; it does not automatically send deletion again. If the business owner cannot be confirmed, deletion stays unavailable until the details load.

Deleting your account cannot be undone. If you are the account owner who created the business, deletion removes the entire business, every team member, all stores, and the business data held in Cashvio. Everyone loses access. Giving another team member an administrator role does not make them the owner.

If you are not the owner, deletion removes only your personal account and private account records. The business, other team members, and shared business records remain. Your existing sign-ins stop working.

The last active administrator cannot delete their personal account while the business remains. Another active administrator must remain first. The recorded owner can still delete the whole business.

Uploaded files belonging to a deleted business are removed in the background after outstanding upload links expire. Storage failures are retried. Previously delivered emails, records held by external services, and platform logs or backups are outside account deletion.

No recovery

Save any information you need before deleting your account. A deleted account or business cannot be restored.
