Delivery Zones
How to set up delivery areas and fees so customers know where you deliver and how much it costs.
What are Delivery Zones?
Delivery zones define where your store delivers and how much delivery costs per area. When a delivery order is placed (in the portal or on the storefront), the customer's country and city are matched against your zones to determine the delivery fee.
Default Delivery Fee
At the top of the Delivery Zones tab you can set the store's default delivery fee, which is used when a delivery address doesn't match any zone. You can edit it inline or clear it entirely.
Free Delivery Threshold
Below the default fee you can set a Free Delivery Threshold, a minimum order amount that earns the customer free delivery:
- Orders whose subtotal (after discounts) reaches the threshold get their delivery fee waived automatically, for both storefront and portal/POS delivery orders.
- On the online store, customers see an "Add X more for free delivery" progress hint in the cart and a Free delivery line at checkout.
- At the POS, the cashier sees a notice that free delivery was applied, and can still set a custom delivery fee on that order, which always wins over the threshold.
- Set it to 0 (or leave it empty) to disable free delivery entirely.
Tip
Pair the threshold with an announcement bar like "Free delivery on orders over 500 EGP" so customers know about the offer before they start shopping.
How to Set Up Delivery Zones
- Go to Settings > Stores, open your store, and select the Delivery Zones tab.
- Click Add Delivery Zone and fill in:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Country | The country this zone covers (pre-selected from your store's country) |
| City | The city within that country |
| Fee Type | Fixed amount or Percentage of the order |
| Fee Value | The delivery fee amount or percentage |
| Active | Whether the zone is currently enabled |
- Click Save. Each zone covers one country + city pair, so add a zone per city you deliver to.
Managing Delivery Zones
- Edit a zone: update its fee or active status.
- Delete a zone: remove areas you no longer deliver to.
- Multiple zones: add as many zones as you need to cover your delivery area.
How Delivery Zones Affect the Portal
When creating a delivery order:
- The delivery address is matched to a zone.
- The corresponding delivery fee is added to the order automatically.
- You can manually override the fee on any individual order.
How Delivery Zones Affect the Storefront
When a customer places a delivery order on your online store:
- The Country and City dropdowns are driven by your configured zones.
- The delivery fee applies automatically based on the selected zone.
Important
Setting up delivery zones is recommended if you offer delivery through the storefront. It ensures customers only select areas you actually deliver to, with the correct fee applied automatically.
