Online Storefront Overview

How your online store works, what customers see, and how to configure it from the business portal.

What is the Online Store?

The Online Store (or storefront) is a customer-facing website where people can browse your products, add items to cart, and place orders online. Each store in Cashvio can have its own storefront accessible via a unique subdomain (e.g., mystore.cash-vio.com).

Want a store without monthly fees? See how to create a free online store synced with your free POS.

Important

Cashvio supports subdomain-based storefronts only (format: yourstorename.cash-vio.com). Custom domains are not currently available.

How Customers Experience Your Store

When customers visit your storefront, they see:

Home Page

  • Hero images — Up to 5 large banner images you configure with display order control
  • Featured categories — Your product categories for easy browsing
  • Featured products — A selection of your active products

Product Browsing

  • All Products page with search, sorting, and filtering
  • Category pages showing products in each category
  • Product detail pages with images, descriptions, variant selection, pricing, and share buttons (WhatsApp, Facebook, copy link — see Sharing Your Store)
  • Review stars on product cards — Products with approved reviews show their star rating and review count everywhere they're listed
  • Recently viewed — A strip of the customer's recently viewed products appears on the home page and under each product page, making it easy to jump back
  • Sorting options — Sort by newest, name, price low to high, or price high to low
  • Filters — Filter by category, in-stock only
  • Hide Out of Stock — Option to hide products that are out of stock (configurable in store settings)

Shopping Cart

  • Customers add products to their cart
  • They can adjust quantities, remove items, and see the order summary
  • The cart shows subtotal, shipping, tax, and total
  • Stock validation — The cart checks product availability and maximum order quantities
  • Minimum order nudge — If you set a minimum order value, the cart shows a progress bar and "Add X more to place your order" until the minimum is reached

Checkout

  • Fulfillment selection — Delivery or Pickup
  • Payment method selection — Cash or Receipt (with receipt image upload)
  • Delivery zones — If configured, only your delivery area countries and cities are available
  • Order preview — Full breakdown of costs before placing the order
  • Minimum order validation — Enforces minimum order value if configured

See Online Checkout Flow for the full checkout process.

Language Support

  • Customers can switch between English and Arabic
  • The entire storefront supports RTL (right-to-left) for Arabic
  • Product names, categories, and checkout forms display in the selected language
  • Language-specific links — Add ?lang=ar or ?lang=en to any store link to open it in that language (great for sharing — see Sharing Your Store). Search engines are also told about both language versions of every page automatically

Theme

  • Customers can toggle between light and dark mode

Note

The storefront supports light and dark mode only. Custom themes, colors, fonts, or layout customization beyond the mode toggle are not available.

  • Copyright notice with your store name
  • "Powered by Cashvio" attribution with a link to the Cashvio website and a "Create your free online store" link
  • Links to your static pages (terms, privacy, refund policy, etc.)
  • Social media links if configured
  • On mobile, a bottom navigation bar replaces the footer with quick access to Home, Categories, Products, Cart, and Contact

Configuring Your Online Store

In the portal, open Online Store from the sidebar (or Settings > Stores > your store > Online Store tab). If the storefront hasn't been created yet, a Create button sets it up.

Settings are organized in four sections: General, Appearance, Content & SEO, and Tracking. In General you can also switch the storefront Active / Inactive and toggle Hide Out of Stock.

Store Subdomain Configuration

Each store can have its own unique subdomain:

  • Subdomain Formatyourstorename.cash-vio.com
  • Subdomain Setup — Configure your store's subdomain in the Online Store settings
  • Access — Once configured, your storefront is accessible at the subdomain URL
  • Sharing — Copy the link or print a QR poster customers can scan to order — see Sharing Your Store

Important

Cashvio supports subdomain-based storefronts only. Custom domains are not currently available. Choose your subdomain carefully as it becomes part of your store's web address.

Managing Hero Images

Hero images are the large banners at the top of your storefront home page:

  1. Open Online Store > Appearance.
  2. Upload images — up to 5 (JPEG/PNG/WEBP, 5 MB each; ~1920×600px looks best). Images display in the order you upload them.
  3. Add a link (optional) — give any banner a click-through URL, e.g., to a category or promotion page.
  4. Remove images you no longer want.

Tip

Use high-quality, visually appealing images that represent your brand. Keep file sizes reasonable for fast loading times.

Pin up to 10 products on your storefront home page:

  1. Open Online Store > Appearance > Special Products.
  2. Click Add and pick a product (each product can be added once).
  3. Drag and drop to set the display order.
  4. Remove products from the list any time.

Note

Only Active products display properly — the list warns you if a pinned product is inactive.

SEO Settings

Improve your store's visibility in search engines:

  • Meta Title — The title that appears in search engine results and browser tabs (recommended: 50-60 characters)
  • Meta Description — A brief description of your store (recommended: 150-160 characters)
  • Favicon — Upload a small icon (16x16 or 32x32px) that appears in browser tabs and bookmarks

Tip

Write compelling meta titles and descriptions that include relevant keywords. This helps customers find your store in search results.

Static Pages

Create informative pages for your customers:

Creating a Static Page

  1. Go to Online Store settings.
  2. Navigate to Static Pages.
  3. Select the page type (Refund Policy, Shipping Policy, or About Us).
  4. Use the rich text editor to format your content:
    • Bold and italic text
    • Bulleted and numbered lists
    • Links to other pages or websites
    • Headings and paragraphs
  5. Click Save.

These pages are automatically linked in your storefront footer and can be accessed by customers at any time.

Analytics Integration

Track customer behavior on your storefront with:

  • Google Tag Manager — Add your GTM container ID to track page views, add-to-cart events, checkouts, and purchases
  • Facebook Pixel — Add your Pixel ID to track conversions and build retargeting audiences
  • TikTok Pixel — Add your TikTok Pixel ID to measure TikTok ad performance

See Google Tags, Facebook Pixel, and TikTok Pixel for detailed setup instructions.
