Business Insights Report
The business health score, area scores, and insights by severity with recommended actions on the Insights report.
The Insights report checks your numbers for the selected period against simple rules and turns what it finds into plain-language guidance.
Headline and health score
The headline sums up the period, for example "Business health 72 of 100; 1 needs attention, 2 warnings, 3 wins." Updated under it shows how long ago the insights were calculated.
Business health is a score out of 100 with a progress bar. Next to it, four area tiles score revenue, profitability, customer health and operations. Each area shows:
- its score out of 100,
- the change in the figure behind it against the previous period: revenue for revenue, gross margin for profitability, new customers for customer health, and the return rate for operations (a falling return rate counts as an improvement),
- a short list of what drives the score, such as healthy margins or low retention.
Insight sections
Insights appear in up to four sections, and empty sections are hidden:
| Section | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Needs attention | Critical issues to act on now |
| Warnings | Problems building up, such as an elevated return rate or low retention |
| Opportunities | Openings to grow, such as your peak hours |
| Wins | What improved, such as revenue growth or a better margin |
Use Category beside the headline to show only one area, such as Profit or Returns, in every section. Choose All categories to see everything again.
Reading an insight
Each card shows a title, a short explanation, and the change when there is one. A line such as "Shown because return rate is at or above 5%." tells you which rule the insight comes from. Up to two recommended actions follow.
Use Open report to open the report that explains the insight for the same period, and Open record to open the product, customer, store or staff member behind it when your role allows it. Products open the Products list filtered by the product name.
When there are no insights, the report says so. Choose a longer period to give the rules more data.
Note
Insights are generated from your actual sales, product, customer, and returns data over the selected period, and always compare with the previous period of the same length.
