Stocktake

Count stock by scanning barcodes, adjust with plus and minus, and save all counts in one submit.

What is a stocktake?

A stocktake is a physical count of products in a store. Scan each item (or type its SKU), set the counted quantity, then save once so Cashvio updates stock and records a Manual Count where the numbers differ.

Use stocktake for seasonal or periodic counts. For a one-off fix on a single item, use Adjust Stock instead.

Count with a scanner or camera

  1. Go to Inventory > Stocktake.
  2. Choose the store (if you have more than one).
  3. Add products by scanning a barcode (USB/Bluetooth scanner or the camera button), typing a SKU and pressing Enter, or searching by product name and tapping a result. Each add counts as 1. Do it again to add another.
  4. Tap the number to type a full count, or use + and -.
  5. You can count up to 100 products in one stocktake.

Tip

No barcode? Search by product name and tap it, or type the SKU and press Enter.

Print sheet opens an A4 worksheet with SKU, product name, system quantity, and a blank Counted box. Use it if you want to count on paper first, then enter the numbers in Cashvio.

Save the count

Click Save count, review how many items differ from system stock, and confirm.

Cashvio applies the counts in one go:

  • Stock on hand becomes the counted quantity.
  • Differences are saved in adjustment history as Manual Count.
  • Last Counted is updated for every line you counted, even when the count matches the system.
