The first steps to set up your business in Cashvio — from your first store to your first sale.

Your First Steps

When you sign up, Cashvio automatically creates your first store using your business details. You can start working right away — this guide walks you through the recommended first steps to get from a fresh account to your first sale.

Tip

The Dashboard helps you along the way: a banner at the top guides you through important next steps (like putting your online store live), and the Needs Attention list shows anything that requires action, such as pending orders or low stock.

1. Review Your Store

Your first store is created during signup. Review its details before selling:

2. Add Your First Category

Categories organize your products (for example: "Electronics", "Clothing", "Food").

  • Go to Catalogue > Categories.
  • Click Add Category, enter a name, and save.

3. Add Your First Product

Products are what you sell. You need at least one product to make a sale.

  • Go to Catalogue > Products.
  • Click Add Product, fill in the name, price, and category, and save.

4. Make Your First Sale

Once you have a product, create a test order to see how the sales flow works:

  • Click the New Sale button (always visible in the sidebar), or use the New Sale quick action on the Dashboard.
  • Tap a product to add it to the cart, then take payment.

5. Put Your Online Store Live (Optional)

If you want to sell online:

  • Go to Online Store in the sidebar.
  • Configure your subdomain, hero images, and settings.
