Understanding Your Store
What a store is in Cashvio, how to manage its settings, and how multi-store operations work.
What is a Store?
A store in Cashvio represents a business location where you sell products. This can be a physical shop, a warehouse, an online store, or any point of sale. Each store has its own:
- Currency — the currency used for pricing and transactions
- Payment methods — which payment methods are accepted
- Fulfillment methods — how orders are delivered or picked up
- Inventory — stock levels tracked separately per store
When you sign up for Cashvio, your first store is automatically created using your business details. If your plan supports multiple stores, you can add more later.
Opening Your Store
- Go to Settings in the sidebar — your stores appear as cards at the top (or open Settings > Stores for the full list).
- Click a store to open its page. Everything about the store is organized as tabs:
| Tab | What it configures |
|---|---|
| Overview | Read-only summary: name, code, currency, contact info, and address |
| Settings | Edit the store's basic information |
| Payments | Payment methods for the portal and the storefront |
| Fulfillment | In-Store, Pickup, Delivery, Dine-In |
| Delivery Zones | Delivery areas and fees |
| Service Fees | Additional fees added to orders |
| Receipt | Receipt content and auto-print |
| Channels | Which sales channels are active for this store |
| POS | POS devices and pairing |
| Online Store | Your storefront settings |
Shortcut
The Settings hub also has quick-access links for each of these areas. If you have one store they open it directly; with multiple stores you pick the store first.
Adding a Store
- Go to Settings > Stores and click Add Store.
- Fill in the details:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Store Name | A name to identify this store (e.g., "Main Branch") — required |
| Currency | The currency for this store's transactions — required |
| Active | Whether the store starts active |
| Contact Email / Phone | The store's contact details |
| Country / City / Address / Postal Code | The store's location |
- Click Save. The number of stores you can create depends on your plan.
Editing Store Settings
Open the store's Settings tab to update the name, currency, contact details, and address. The store code is generated automatically and cannot be changed.
You can also Activate or Deactivate the store from this tab — deactivated stores stop accepting new activity without losing any data.
Multi-Store Operations
If your plan supports multiple stores:
- Each store tracks inventory independently. A product can have different stock levels in each store.
- Orders belong to a specific store. When making a sale, you pick the store first.
- Prices can differ per store. Set store-specific prices per product variant.
- Reports break down by store. See sales and profit per store inside the reports.
- Users can be limited to specific stores via store-scoped roles.
Tip
You can transfer inventory between stores. See Adjustments & Transfers for details.
